PPF Top-Coat Evaluation Guide for Wholesale Buyers
Evaluate the complete surface system
A PPF top coat affects gloss, water behavior, cleaning and surface recovery, but it must work together with the TPU and adhesive. Compare complete films rather than isolated marketing claims.
Use repeatable sample panels
Install each model on the same paint color and prepare every panel identically. Record gloss, visual texture, water contact behavior and contamination release after the film has rested.
Test practical contamination
Use controlled sections for water spots, road film and common workshop contaminants. Follow the supplier cleaning instructions and check whether the surface appearance returns without aggressive treatment.
Approve for distribution
Keep the approved panel and sample code. Ask for model, thickness, roll size, warranty position, MOQ and sample policy. Train dealers to describe tested behavior accurately instead of promising unlimited self-healing.
